Having stayed here for a few days myself, I can tell you that it’s more than just a value-for-money accommodation, it’s a place that makes you think, “This is what I’m looking for at this price point?”

It’s especially perfect for couples and solo travellers.

This property is located in a great location in Bandung, close to all the main attractions.

With ride-hailing apps like Grab and Gojek, tou can be at the main attractions within minutes.

- Great location for travelling around Bandung city centre

- Average fare for grab/gojek calls is affordable

Conveniently located with plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby

Easy to get to from the airport and train station

However, Bandung is known for being a traffic-choked city.

If you want to cut down on travelling time, motorbike grabs are the most efficient way to get around.

2️⃣ Room condition, why it was much better than expected

I didn’t have high expectations when I booked.

But when I arrived, the room was much more spacious and comfortable than I expected.

- Clean beds, wardrobes, air conditioning, TV, sofa, and fridge

Good soundproofing for a quiet stay

Hot water with strong water pressure and clean washrooms

In Islamic cultures, you’ll often hear the call to prayer over loudspeakers during prayer time.

But in this hostel, because of the high floor + good soundproofing, I could hardly hear the call to prayer.

On the downside, only one room has air conditioning.

Luckily, Bandung is at a high altitude, so it didn’t get too hot even in the living room.

3️⃣ Bandung Hostel, An honest review from someone who actually stated there

I personally stayed at this property for 5 days and booked through Airbnb.

The check-in was very simple and the reception staff very friendly, making it easy to get into the property.

Very clean accommodation with no bugs, ants, etc.

✔️ No noise between floors, very little noise from neighbouring rooms

** Great service from the host

✔️ Quick feedback from the host & well maintained

The room was very clean and comfortable with a nice view.

It was on a high floor, so we had a great view of Bandung city, and the night view was better than expected.

The only downside was what there was no air conditioning in the living room, so it was a bit hot during the day, Other than that, it was a great place for the price.

4️⃣ Bandung hostel amenities, the best you can get

It’s true that cheaper accommodation often comes with fewer amenities.

However, this place has more amenities than you’d expect, which made my stay a breeze.

- Outdoor swimming pool available for free to guests

- Laundry available for a fee (wash + dry)

- The pool was neatly maintained and was great for a quick dip.

- There’s also a roundabout car parking area right in front of the property, It was very convenient to be able to call a Grab and be picked up right at the lobby.
